Diplomová práce se zabývá navrhnutím Assessment centra pro pozici HR manažera ve vybraném výrobním podniku. V teoretických východiscích práce jsou uvedena témata, která souvisí s cílem diplomové práce. Dále je v práci provedena analýza pracovního místa, aby mohly být vytvořeny vhodné podmínky pro nastavení klíčových kompetencí HR manažera. Tyto klíčové kompetence slouží jako základ pro navrhnutí Assessment centra, které poté může být využito jako efektivní výběrová technika.

The master´s thesis is focused on the definition of the role of HR and line manager at LAC, Ltd. The thesis consists of two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is based on findings of the literature which is aimed at human resources management, role of HR manager and role of line managers in the company. The practical part deals with description of the company and its human resources management and an analysis of the role of line and HR managers in the company using interview method.
Thriving (glourishingg) of supra-national corporation manager

A managerial role place great challenges on the individual from the perspective of self- management, primarily considering the challenges of that role and individual needs and values. This dissertation discusses the potential for maintaining well-being when performing in a managerial role in a supra-national corporation. The focus is primarily on the idea of flourishing (thriving) defined by the American psychologist Martin Seligman. Flourish fundamentally includes subjective, hedonic elements (experiences of joy), as well as, eudaemonic quality built on the individual but for the wider community. Flourishing is closely linked to the self-concept of the individual; its content is subjective in character. Employment in a supra-national environment includes characteristics which may reduce the quality of this for an individual. This, mainly, involves constant adapting to change, working in a turbulent environment, collaborations encountering cultural differences (national and organisational), working in a matrix structure and/or frequent emphases on hedonism or consumerism. The research is predominantly qualitative in character; mapping pivotal topics which, in the future, will require a more empirical approach. Motivation and Stimulation of Employee in the Construction Industry

The aim of this bachelor thesis was to analyze motivation and stimulation of workers in the building industry, to assess the role of managers at various levels of large construction company and to stabilize the working team, to influence staff turnover and to design solutions. It was examined whether the hypothesis about the difference in motivation depending on the job position of the selected two groups of workers in the company was confirmed in accordance with the motivational theories of Maslow and Herzberg.

Managerial Competencies

The main topic of this bachelor thesis is Managerial competencies which is based on analysis of the problem and create a competency model for a human and resource manager that has been chosen by author in this particular company. The theoretical part of this thesis, at the begining it has been examined the concept of manager and competencies. Further was define the components, and also have been investigated the definition of the competency model. After that, the processes have been described by creation a competency model. The practical part includes description of the selected organization that name is Treolan, for which was created a competency model. Basis on the information that was obtained by interview with the human and resource manager of the selected organization as well, it was created a competency model by the specific process that was chosen by author of the thesis. The thesis has been authenticated over questionnaire at the end of work.
